At 911 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Susquehanna, or 12 miles east of Montrose, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Jackson, Susquehanna, Susquehanna Depot, New Milford, Ararat, Lanesboro, Thompson, Union Dale, Starrucca, and Gibson. This includes the following highway exits... Pennsylvania Interstate 81 between 219 and 223.

Flash Flood Warning

Flash Flood Warning issued June 14 at 6:37PM EDT until June 14 at 10:00PM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ

At 637 PM EDT, trained weather spotters reported flash flooding occurring along Route 130 between Willingboro and Burlington in New Jersey. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Trained spotters reported. IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other drainage and low lying areas. Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Philadelphia, Trenton, Bensalem, Willingboro, Florence, Burlington, Bristol, Riverside, Palmyra, Jenkintown, Narberth and Bordentown. This includes the following highways... Interstate 295 in New Jersey between mile markers 47 and 55...and near mile marker 57. New Jersey Turnpike between exits 6 and 6A. Interstate 76 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 334 and 341. Interstate 95 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 27 and 40. Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 350 and 359.

The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission has issued a code orange air quality alert Friday for The Philadelphia Metro area. A code orange air quality alert means that air pollution concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for sensitive groups.
