* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Northwestern Allen IN County in northeastern Indiana... Southeastern Whitley County in northeastern Indiana... * WHEN...Until 1145 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 813 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen since last evening. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Temperatures will reach the lower 90s this afternoon. Combined with high humidity, heat indices will be in the mid 90s to around 100 degrees. Try to limit time outdoors today during the afternoon, when heat illness is most likely to occur. If going outdoors, drink plenty of fluids and take breaks out of the sun.

* WHAT...Daily peak heat index values of 103 to 109 today and Thursday, then 100 to 105 Friday and Saturday. * WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeast Missouri. * WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Saturday. * IMPACTS...Record to near record hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The Heat Advisory has been extended thru Saturday for the entire Quad State Region.
