SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of light, unsecured objects. Heavy rain may cause temporary street flooding especially in poor drainage areas. Locations impacted include... Butler, Oglethorpe, Marshallville, Reynolds, Ideal, Whitewater State Park, Rupert, Garden Valley, Bartlett, Hicks, Potterville, and Winchester.

At 354 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a thunderstorm with torrential rainfall 8 miles west of Clayton, or near Lake Burton, moving east at 5 mph. Locations to be impacted include... Clayton, Mountain City, Tiger, Dillard, Lake Rabun, Lake Burton, Lakemont, Black Rock Mountain State Park, Tallulah Falls, and Tallulah Gorge State Park. Very heavy rainfall rates up to 2 inches per hour will be possible in these areas.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Georgia, including the following county, Glynn. * WHEN...Until 445 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 248 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area.
