For the Conasauga River Basin...including Eton, Crandall, Dalton, Dalton, Chatsworth, Tilton, Sloan Bridge below Dalton...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding will continue. * WHERE...Conasauga River at Tilton. * WHEN...Until late tomorrow morning. * IMPACTS...At 18 feet, Flood stage is reached. Minor flooding begins in the woodlands...fields and pastures along the river upstream and downstream from the gage on the Brackett Ridge Road bridge. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 AM EDT Friday the stage was 19.1 feet and nearly steady. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.2 feet this afternoon. For the Sequatchie River...including Whitwell TN...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...South Chickamauga Creek near Chickamauga TN. * WHEN...From this afternoon to late tomorrow morning. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Water begins to cross Mack Smith Road in Catoosa County, Georgia. Flooding begins at golf courses near the confluence of South and West Chickamauga Creeks. West Chickamauga Creek begins to overflow its banks, as well. At 19.0 feet, Water across Mack Smith road begins to impede traffic. West Chickamauga Creek overflows its banks near the Georgia state line and inundates several roads and properties in the area. At 20.0 feet, Mack Smith Road is closed.
