Updated Sun Oct 25th 2026, 1:36pm PDT

Get ready for a mixed bag of weather! We have rain, storms, and even snow coming to various parts of the U.S. over the next couple of days. Southern High Plains will see heavy rain tonight, easing by Monday. Florida's east coast is in for more rain through tonight, with a slight decrease by Monday. And don't forget the snow for the northern Rockies and northern High Plains on Monday and Tuesday as cold air moves in.

Southern High Plains and Central U.S.

Tonight, expect heavy rain and thunderstorms in the southern High Plains, particularly south of a stationary front. A low-pressure area will develop over the central High Plains overnight and bring rain to the northern Plains through Monday, with rainfall ranging from 1 to 2 inches. As cold air moves in, rain may turn to wet snow in higher elevations and areas like western South Dakota by Monday.

Florida

The east coast of Florida will continue to experience heavy rain due to Atlantic moisture being fed by easterly winds. The risk of excessive rainfall remains high through tonight and will decrease slightly by Monday and Tuesday.

Pacific Northwest and Western U.S.

A low-pressure system is moving into the Pacific Northwest, bringing rain tonight and reaching into Oregon and Idaho by Monday. High-elevation snow will hit the northern Rockies by Monday night, easing by Tuesday as the system moves into the northern High Plains.

Temperature Outlook

Cooler temperatures will persist in the East Coast and Gulf Coast through tonight, but expect a warm-up starting Monday. Meanwhile, the central and southern Plains will enjoy above-normal temperatures, with highs in the 70s and 80s.
