From September 9th to September 11th, expect a mix of weather patterns across the U.S. A front hanging over Florida will bring showers, while frost and air quality alerts hit the Northeast and Northwest respectively. Thunderstorms could occur in the Great Lakes and Central Plains. Keep umbrellas and jackets handy! Let's dive into what's happening in your area.

Upper Midwest to Rockies

A front stretching from the Upper Midwest through the Northern Plains to the Northern Rockies will hang around until Thursday. This setup will cause showers and thunderstorms in the Upper Great Lakes, Upper/Middle Mississippi Valley, and the Central Plains through Tuesday night. Expect strong thunderstorms in the Central/Southern High Plains on Tuesday.

Florida and Gulf Coast

A front will linger over Florida until Thursday, bringing tropical moisture and showers to the area. The Central Gulf Coast will also see similar weather, with rain extending to the Eastern Seaboard and reaching as far north as New England by Wednesday. South Texas won't miss out either, with showers expected through Wednesday evening.

Pacific Northwest and Northern California

A developing upper-level low in the Northwest will move into Northern California, affecting much of the West. Rain will spread across the Pacific Northwest, Northern California, Northern Intermountain Region, and the Central Rockies by Tuesday night, with thunderstorms continuing through Thursday.
