Current National Weather

A low-pressure system is moving in from between Hawaii and Baja California, bringing more moisture. Expect the rain to start Saturday night and continue into Sunday.
Central U.S. Turns Wet
On Monday, a new low-pressure system will form in the Central High Plains, bringing rain to the Central U.S.. There is a chance of heavy rain as this system moves through, and some Central Rockies areas might even see snow due to the cold air behind the system.
Moderate Rain from the Plains to the Gulf Coast
This weekend, moderate rain will move from the Southern Plains to the Gulf Coast. This rain will shift eastward, impacting the Florida Panhandle and moving up the Mississippi Valley by Sunday morning. Thunderstorms here could lead to flash flooding, particularly in South Florida.
Snow Over the Sierra and Great Basin
Snow is expected to increase in the Sierra and Great Basin regions late Saturday and into Sunday. With the cold air and moisture from the Pacific meeting, over a foot of snow may fall on higher terrain by late Sunday.
