* WHAT...Strong north to south longshore current. There is also a Moderate Risk of rip currents for the beaches of New Hanover County. * WHERE...In North Carolina, Coastal New Hanover County. In South Carolina, Coastal Georgetown County. * WHEN...From 6 AM EDT Monday through Monday evening. * IMPACTS...Longshore currents can sweep swimmers and surfers into rip currents, piers, jetties, and other hazardous areas. It may sweep swimmers off their feet, making it difficult to return to shore.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Savannah River near Clyo. * WHEN...Until late Friday evening. * IMPACTS...At 13.3 feet, one foot of water covers Tom Goethe Road just after the pavement ends. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 815 PM EDT Sunday, the stage was 12.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 12.5 feet early Monday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late Friday morning. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.

Flood waters will affect timberland as far downstream as Yauhannah two weeks after the crest passes Pee Dee. Logging equipment needs to be moved. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 21.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 21.3 feet just after midnight tonight.
