HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Frio River Below Dry Frio affecting Uvalde County. * WHAT...Major flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Frio River at Concan. * WHEN...Until late tomorrow morning. * IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Major flooding increases very quickly to several feet deep over the Frio River banks of recreation camps near Rio Frio to near Concan. Sleeping campers, autos and recreational vehicles can be washed downstream. This is a life threatening level. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 4:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 10.0 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage late this afternoon to 15.2 feet this evening. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - An upper level disturbance may move north from Mexico, bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms to portions of the Edwards Plateau, Northwest Hill Country and Northwest Hill Country this afternoon and evening. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches, with locally heavier amounts of 4 inches possible.
