* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow expected for Iron County. Total snow accumulations between 5 and 10 inches in northern Iron County and 2 to 6 inches for southern Iron County. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph creating areas of blowing snow. * WHERE...Iron County. This includes the Tribal Lands of the northwestern area of the Lac du Flambeau Band. * WHEN...From 9 AM Wednesday to 6 AM CST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday evening commute. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heaviest snowfall is expected in northern Iron County from Wednesday afternoon through Wednesday night. The highest northwesterly winds are expected Wednesday late afternoon and into early Thursday morning.
