Hermitage, Grove City, Mercer, Harrisville, Clark, Emlenton, Clintonville, St. Petersburg, Eau Claire, Jackson Center, Barkeyville, Foxburg, and Cherry Valley. This includes the following highways... Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 114 and 123. Interstate 80 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 8 and 53. Snow will lead to reduced visibilities and hazardous travel conditions. Use extra caution if you must travel into or through this intense snow shower. Rapid changes in visibility and potentially slick roads are likely to lead to accidents. Consider delaying travel until the squall passes your location.

Wheeling, Steubenville, Washington, Uniontown, Moundsville, Canonsburg, Connellsville, Martins Ferry, St. Clairsville, Bellaire, Waynesburg, Cadiz, Warwood, Wellsburg, Bethlehem, West Liberty, Triadelphia, Avella, Clearview, and Valley Grove. This includes the following highways... Interstate 70 in Ohio between mile markers 212 and 225. Interstate 70 in West Virginia between mile markers 0 and 14. HAZARDS...A lake effect snow band accompanied by winds of up to 45 MPH which can rapidly reduce visibility to less than a quarter of a mile. LOCATION AND MOVEMENT...At 517 AM EST, a lake effect snow band was along a line extending from Rheims to near Van Etten to Union Center to Windsor to near Hancock and was nearly stationary. LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE... Binghamton, Vestal, Johnson City, Endicott, Kirkwood, Bath, Conklin, Maine, Owego, and Sanford. This includes the following highway exits... New York Interstate 81 between 1 and 7. Interstate 86/Route 17 between 36 and 37, and between 64 and 90. Interstate 88 between 1 and 6. Interstate 390 between 1 and 2. SAFETY INFO... Use extra caution if you must travel into or through this lake effect snow band. Rapid changes in visibility and potentially slick roads may lead to accidents. HAZARDS...Multiple bands of heavy snow accompanied by winds of up to 40 MPH which can rapidly reduce visibility to less than one mile. LOCATION AND MOVEMENT...At 511 AM EST, multiple bands of heavy snow was along a line extending from Chester Hill to Highland Park and moving east at 45 MPH. THESE BANDS OF HEAVY SNOW WILL BE NEAR... Houserville, North Philipsburg, and Burnham around 515 AM EST. Reeds Gap State Park, and Potters Mills around 530 AM EST. Pleasant Gap and Centre Hall around 540 AM EST. Spring Mills around 555 AM EST. For those driving on Interstate 80, this includes areas between the Dubois and Lamar exits, specifically from mile markers 97 to 162. This includes Interstate 99 from mile markers 48 to 85. SAFETY INFO... Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Winds gusting as high as 60 mph. * WHERE...Somerset County. * WHEN...Until 3 PM EST this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Whiteout conditions are expected, mainly over the ridges of Western Somerset County, making travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Conditions will gradually improve late tonight and Monday. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Sharply falling temperatures and very strong wind gusts over 50 mph will yield a quick changeover from rain to snow this afternoon. A brief period of heavy snow is possible along with a quick freeze up of slush and standing water on roadways. Snow showers will continue at varying intensity tonight into Monday.
