Narrow bands of heavy showers will be across of the ridge, valley region just east and south of State College through sunrise. Localized rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches of rain will be possible before the rain moves east of the area by mid morning. Persons traveling early this morning should be alert for ponding of water on roads and poor drainage flooding of fields and low laying areas.

* WHAT...High risk of rip currents expected. * WHERE...In Ohio, Erie, Lorain, Cuyahoga, Lake and Ashtabula Lakeshore Counties. In Pennsylvania, Northern Erie County. * WHEN...From this evening through Monday morning. * IMPACTS...Wind and wave action will cause currents on the lakeshore. Swimmers should not enter the water. Currents can carry swimmers away from shore through a sand bar and along structures extending out into the lake.
