At 649 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 7 miles east of High Rock Lake to near Plyler to 7 miles east of Midland. Movement was north at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 30 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Asheboro, Lexington, Albemarle, Troy, Badin Lake, Ansonville, Linwood, Plyler, Midland, and Polkton.

Northern Granville County in central North Carolina... * Until 745 AM EDT. * At 551 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar.
