Locally dense fog has developed across the portions of inland southeast GA north of US Highway 82 early this morning and will affect these areas until 9 AM. Given the nature of the fog visibilities on area roadways can reduce to one half mile or less over a short distances.

Patches of dense fog with visibilities 1/4 mile or less will continue to impact parts of Southeast Georgia into southern South Carolina through sunrise. The nature of the fog is such that visibilities will vary greatly over short distances with the risk for locally dense fog being the greatest near bodies of water and other low-lying areas such as marshes, swamps and large ditches. Motorists should remain alert for these conditions this morning. Conditions will quickly improve after sunrise.
