At 422 AM EST, an area of heavy snow was located 9 miles north of Cadiz, moving east at 15 mph. Locations impacted include... Weirton, Steubenville, Toronto, Wintersville, Mingo Junction, Follansbee, Hooverson Heights, Hopedale, Scio, Jewett, Amsterdam, Richmond, Bowerston, Bloomingdale, Unionport, Brentwood, Kilgore, Colliers, Sun Valley, and Langeloth. Snow will lead to reduced visibilities and hazardous travel conditions. Use extra caution if you must travel into or through this intense snow shower. Rapid changes in visibility and potentially slick roads are likely to lead to accidents. Consider delaying travel until the squall passes your location.

LOCATION AND MOVEMENT...At 418 AM EST, a band of heavy snow was along a line extending from near Punxsutawney to Blandburg and moving east at 35 MPH. THIS BAND OF HEAVY SNOW WILL BE NEAR... Birmingham, Tipton, and Tyrone around 425 AM EST. Warriors Mark around 430 AM EST. Franklinville and Spruce Creek around 435 AM EST. This includes Interstate 99 from mile markers 44 to 54. This includes the following highways... Route 219 from south of Burnside to west of Mahaffey. Route 220 from near Tipton on I-99 to near Bald Eagle on I-99. State Road 350 near Bald Eagle. LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE... Binghamton, Vestal, Johnson City, Endicott, Kirkwood, Conklin, Owego, Erin, Deposit, and Susquehanna Depot. This includes the following highway exits... The visibility will be significantly reduced in snow and blowing snow. Very strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees and power lines. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Sharply falling temperatures and strong wind gusts over 50 mph will yield a quick changeover from rain to snow this afternoon. A brief period of heavy snow and significantly reduced visibility are possible along with a quick freeze up of slush and standing water on roadways. Snow showers will continue at varying intensity tonight into Monday.

Winds gusting as high as 60 mph. * WHERE...Somerset County. * WHEN...Until 3 PM EST this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Whiteout conditions are expected, mainly over the ridges of Western Somerset County, making travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Conditions will gradually improve late tonight and Monday. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Sharply falling temperatures and very strong wind gusts over 50 mph will yield a quick changeover from rain to snow this afternoon. A brief period of heavy snow is possible along with a quick freeze up of slush and standing water on roadways. Snow showers will continue at varying intensity tonight into Monday.
