When a severe thunderstorm warning is issued, the storm may produce damaging winds, large hail, dangerous lightning, and heavy rain. In some cases, heavy rainfall produced by a severe storm can also lead to flash flooding. Do not drive vehicles through flooded areas. The water depth or fast flowing water/mud/debris from a flash flood will make road conditions unsafe. * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Portions of east central Ohio, including the following areas, Belmont, Carroll, Columbiana, Coshocton, Guernsey, Harrison, Jefferson OH, Monroe, Muskingum, Noble and Tuscarawas, Pennsylvania, including the following areas, Allegheny, Beaver, Fayette, Greene, Higher Elevations of Fayette, Higher Elevations of Westmoreland, Washington and Westmoreland, and West Virginia, including the following areas, Brooke, Eastern Preston, Hancock, Marion, Marshall, Monongalia, Ohio, Preston, Ridges of Eastern Monongalia and Northwestern Preston and Wetzel. * WHEN...Through Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
