...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Illinois...Indiana... Wabash River at Montezuma, Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site, and Riverton. .Minor river flooding continues but is expected to come to an end on the Wabash River by Friday evening. The crest is currently near Riverton. Additional rainfall from multiple systems over the next week could bring renewed minor river flooding to the Wabash. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Montezuma. * WHEN...Until late tonight. * IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Several hundred acres of bottomlands along the right bank from the mouth of Sugar Creek to northern edge of Montezuma begin to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:45 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 14.5 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:45 AM EDT Thursday was 15.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late this afternoon and continue falling and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

A few rural roads in Crawford County, Illinois close as water backs up Minnow Slough. High water affects campground at Leaverton Park in Palestine. A few private roads near the Gill Township levee in Sullivan County may flood. Water level is at the top of most makeshift levees. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:00 AM EDT Thursday /9:00 AM CDT Thursday/ the stage was 15.6 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:00 AM EDT Thursday /9:00 AM CDT Thursday/ was 15.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.7 feet this afternoon.
