Temperatures have risen to above freezing across much of the region as a warm front continues to track north of the area. Little moisture was associated with the front, and with temperatures above freezing the threat of freezing drizzle has diminished.

A light wintry mix, including spotty freezing rain, will continue across portions of eastern New York and adjacent western New England through mid morning. This will create locally slippery driving and walking conditions. Motorists and pedestrians should remain alert to possible icy ground surfaces through mid morning, especially elevated road surfaces such as bridges and overpasses, as well as driveways, sidewalks and parking lots.
