For the Trent River...including West of Trenton...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Trent River at West of Trenton. * WHEN...Until tomorrow evening. * IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Farmland and fields are flooded along the river. Water inundates the Trent River Campground. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:45 AM EDT Saturday the stage was 15.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:45 AM EDT Saturday was 15.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon and continue falling to 10.9 feet Thursday morning. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents. * WHERE...The beaches north of Cape Hatteras. * WHEN...From 8 AM EDT this morning through this evening. * IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The most likely time for strong rip currents to occur is a couple hours either side of low tide, which will occur around 7:00 AM this morning and 7:00 PM tonight.

* WHAT...Strong north to south longshore current. * WHERE...Coastal New Hanover County. * WHEN...Through this evening. * IMPACTS...Longshore currents can sweep swimmers and surfers into rip currents, piers, jetties, and other hazardous areas. It may sweep swimmers off their feet, making it difficult to return to shore.
