Minimum relative humidity between 12 and 19 percent combined with southwest winds of 10 to 15 mph, with gusts up to 25 mph, will lead to an increased risk of wildfires today. Remember that under KY law, it is illegal to burn within 150 feet of any woodland or brushland between 6 AM and 6 PM during the Spring Fire Season that runs through April 30th. West Virginia law prohibits burning in the spring from 7AM to 5PM...March 1st through May 31st.

Gusty southwest winds and low humidities will linger into the evening. This will lead to an increased risk of wildfires through around sunset. Humidities will gradually increase through the evening and southwest winds will gradually slacken diminishing the wildfire threat. Remember that under KY law, it is illegal to burn within 150 feet of any woodland or brushland between 6 AM and 6 PM during the Spring Fire Season that runs through April 30th.
