In addition, low-lying roads in Southwest Beauregard Parish are flooded including Robert Clark Road. Flooding occurs on the south side of Niblett Bluff Park with access roads to camp houses cut off around the park. This line is expected to slowly move across southeast Texas and southwest Louisiana overnight into Monday evening. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Portions of Louisiana, including the following parishes, Allen, Beauregard, Evangeline, Northern Calcasieu, Rapides and Vernon and southeast Texas, including the following areas, Hardin, Northern Jasper, Northern Newton, Northern Orange, Southern Jasper, Southern Newton and Tyler. * WHEN...From this evening through Monday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Flow across the boundary will become favorable for moisture feed into storms and may result in areas of 3 to 5 inches of rainfall with isolated higher amounts possible. Southeast Texas and central Louisiana will be especially vulnerable to high rainfall rates and, or totals as water levels remain elevated from previous storm systems. However, additional showers and thunderstorms are expected to redevelop this afternoon across these areas, before shifting slowly east northeast into Southwest Arkansas, Deep East Texas, and North Louisiana this evening and overnight. Locally heavy rainfall is possible with these storms, this afternoon and tonight, with the heavy rain threat shifting into Northcentral and Northeast Louisiana Monday morning. Widespread rainfall amounts of 2-4 inches are expected, with isolated higher amounts possible.
