* WHAT...Minor coastal flooding expected due to the combination of high tides and elevated surf. * WHERE...San Diego County Coastal Areas and Orange County Coastal Areas. * WHEN...For the Beach Hazards Statement, through 5 AM today. For the Coastal Flood Advisory, from 5 AM today to 5 PM PDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Minor coastal flooding and minor coastal erosion expected during high tides. Additionally, elevated surf will lead to strong rip currents. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Elevated surf of 3-5 feet expected. Local sets to 7 feet on south-facing beaches. Morning high tides are expected to peak between 6.8 and 7.1 feet through Wednesday, highest on Tuesday morning. These tide predictions have been corrected to reflect current trends in actual tide observations.

* WHAT...Up to 1.2 ft of inundation above ground level is possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways. * WHERE...Bayshore locations along the San Francisco Bay, San Pablo Bay, and Monterey Bay. * WHEN...Now through 5 PM PDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only isolated road closures expected. High tides will result in flooding along coastal trails, cut off access to some low- lying beaches and coastal areas, and bring water and waves farther up the beach than typical. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...At the San Francisco tidal gauge, high tide is expected to be 1.0 ft above normal (6.87 ft MLLW) at 12:57 PM Monday 9/28, 1.2 ft above normal (7.01 ft MLLW) at 1:30 PM Tuesday 9/29, 1.2 ft above normal (7.03 ft MLLW) at 2:10 PM Wednesday 9/30, and 1.1 ft above normal (6.92 ft MLLW) at 2:58 PM Thursday 10/01. These predictions include up to 0.7 ft of surge that will enhance the astronomical tide and flooding threat. High tide varies up to 90 minutes earlier or later along the Pacific Coast and through the San Francisco Bay, respectively.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of northwest Arizona, including the following areas, Lake Havasu and Fort Mohave, Lake Mead - AZ side and Lake Mohave - AZ side, southeast California, including the following area, San Bernardino County-Upper Colorado River Valley, and southern Nevada, including the following areas, Lake Mead - NV side, Lake Mohave - NV side and Southern Clark County. * WHEN...Through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. For the High Surf Advisory, breaking waves of 4 to 7 feet with dangerous rip currents. * WHERE...Catalina and Santa Barbara Islands, Ventura County Beaches, Malibu Coast and Los Angeles County Beaches. * WHEN...For the Beach Hazards Statement, until 5 AM PDT early this morning. For the Coastal Flood Advisory, until 5 PM PDT Tuesday. For the High Surf Advisory, until 5 PM PDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Moderate flooding of sea water is likely over some vulnerable low-lying coastal areas, especially around the time of high tide, including over beach parking lots, bike paths, and harbor walkways. Moderate to locally significant beach erosion is likely. Very localized damage possible to most vulnerable areas. There is an increased risk for ocean drowning. Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Large breaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats near shore. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Areas of most concern are Avalon, Long Beach (Peninsula and Belmont Shore). While the surf will likely be smaller than Marie (from earlier this month), the lingering erosion effects enhance the vulnerabilities for locally more significant coastal flooding.

Minor tidal overflows possible, especially Monday and Tuesday. * WHERE...Santa Barbara County Southwestern Coast and Santa Barbara County Southeastern Coast. * WHEN...Through Wednesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...There is an increased risk of ocean drowning. Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Waves can wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats nearshore. Pooling of sea water is possible around high tide at beach and harbor areas (including Santa Barbara Harbor). Enhanced beach erosion is also possible. No significant damage is expected. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Locally moderate coastal flooding impacts possible but unlikely for areas such as Santa Barbara Harbor. These impacts may include moderate flooding of sea water over some vulnerable low-lying coastal areas, especially around the time of high tide, including over beach parking lots, bike paths, and harbor walkways. Additionally, locally moderate beach erosion is possible.

Wind Advisory issued September 27 at 1:15PM PDT until September 29 at 6:00AM PDT by NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA

* WHAT...North winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts of 30 to 45 mph expected. * WHERE...Interstate 5 Corridor, Northern Ventura County Mountains, Santa Barbara County Interior Mountains, Santa Barbara County Southeastern Coast, Santa Barbara County Southwestern Coast, Santa Ynez Mountains Eastern Range, Santa Ynez Mountains Western Range, and Southern Ventura County Mountains. * WHEN...From 6 PM Monday to 6 AM PDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

When a severe thunderstorm warning is issued, the storm may produce damaging winds, large hail, dangerous lightning, and heavy rain.
