* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of Piedmont North Carolina, including the following county, Iredell. * WHEN...Until 345 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 953 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Roadways along and near Third Creek, Fourth Creek, and Gregory Creek may experience minor/nuisance flooding in the near future. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Water begins to spread out of storm drains onto Water Street just south of Market Street in downtown Wilmington. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Affected areas listed are based on average tide conditions.
