* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Oklahoma, including the following counties, Le Flore, Pittsburg and Pushmataha. * WHEN...Until 730 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 428 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Clayton... Kiowa... Albion... Ashland... Clayton Lake State Park... Tuskahoma... Central Pontotoc County in east central Oklahoma... * Until 715 AM CDT. * At 404 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... In southern Oklahoma, Carter, Love and Murray. * WHEN...Until 7 AM CDT this morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Very heavy rainfall over the last week has led to widespread runoff, which has greatly reduced the amount of rain needed for flooding to occur. Riverview Park experiences moderate flooding. State Highway 125 near the fairgrounds will be closed. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:30 AM CDT Friday the stage was 20.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.2 feet this morning. Clear Boggy Creek near Caney affecting Atoka County. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Clear Boggy Creek near Caney. * WHEN...Until late tomorrow morning. * IMPACTS...At 29.0 feet, Creek levels rise to three feet higher than flood stage in western Atoka County and the northeastern edge of Bryan County. High stages on small feeder streams result in even greater depths to mainstem bottomlands near their points of entry into Clear Boggy Creek. Croplands... pastures... and some secondary rural roads are flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:30 AM CDT Friday the stage was 29.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 26.0 feet. - Forecast...The Clear Boggy Creek is expected to fall below flood stage late tonight and continue falling. - Flood stage is 26.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
