At 643 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Thomas Bridge to Whitetop. Movement was east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Whitetop... Sugar Grove... Troutdale... Rugby... Adwolf... Thomas Bridge... and Mount Rogers Summit.

At 608 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles northeast of Abingdon, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Lindell, Glade Spring, Konnarock, and Emory-Meadowview.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of northwest Virginia, including the following area, Northern Virginia Blue Ridge. * WHEN...From 5 AM EDT Wednesday through Wednesday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - There is an increased potential for flooding given saturated soils from last week's major flooding event. The heaviest rains will likely fall during Wednesday afternoon to early evening.
