For the Withlacoochee River...including Quitman (US 84)...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Withlacoochee River near Quitman (US 84). * WHEN...Until Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 110.0 feet, In Lowndes County, Beaver Run Road, Spain Ferry Road, and Old Quitman Highway are flooded. Water will approach structures along Old Quitman Highway on the Brooks County side of the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:30 AM EDT Tuesday the stage was 109.1 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:30 AM EDT Tuesday was 109.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 109.1 feet this afternoon. The next statement will be issued Wednesday morning at 1030 AM EDT. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Alapaha River at Statenville. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 92.0 feet, Griner Road in Mayday begins to flood. This isolates 10 homes in the area. Flooding along the road subsides 2 to 3 days after the river crests in Statenville or when the river falls below 96 feet. At 100.0 feet, The boat ramp near the gauge and adjacent parking lot are flooded.
