* WHAT...High waves of 3 to 7 feet and strong currents leading to dangerous swimming conditions. * WHERE...Emmet, Leelanau, Benzie, Manistee, Western Mackinac, Eastern Mackinac and Charlevoix Counties, and Beaver Island and surrounding islands. * WHEN...From 7 AM EDT this morning through this evening. * IMPACTS...Strong currents can pull swimmers into deeper water and high waves can sweep people off piers. Cold water temperatures in the upper 40s and 50s Fahrenheit will also bring the risk of hypothermia.
