At 547 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding across the warned area. Though the heavy rainfall has ended, flooding will likely continue for the next couple of hours. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE...Law enforcement reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Louisburg, Fontana, New Lancaster and Beagle.

At 542 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms capable of producing a landspout along a line extending from 5 miles northeast of Parsons to Chetopa. Movement was east at 15 mph. HAZARD...Landspouts and wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Parsons, Oswego, Chetopa, Labette, and South Mound.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Linn and Miami counties in east central Kansas, and Bates and Cass counties in west central Missouri. * WHEN...Until 645 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 335 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms moving into the advisory area. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Areas that have seen flooding the past several days will be especially vulnerable. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Neosho River near Parsons affecting Labette and Neosho Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Neosho River near Parsons. * WHEN...Until tomorrow morning. * IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Flood waters spread over fields to a distance of 1 and one fourth miles. Several county roads, mainly along the left bank are inundated. Several residents which live along the right bank in the vicinity of Highway 400 may experience water entering their homes at basement levels. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 23.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 21.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage this evening and continue falling to 10.2 feet early Tuesday afternoon. - Flood stage is 21.0 feet.

Neosho River near Parsons affecting Labette and Neosho Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Neosho River at Oswego. * WHEN...Until early Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...At 22.5 feet, Riverside Park Drive floods from east of Xavier St, just south of the river gage bridge, to 100 yards east towards the water plant. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 22.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 17.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage tomorrow morning and continue falling to 8.5 feet early Tuesday afternoon. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
