* WHAT...This level of heat affects most individuals sensitive to heat, especially those without effective cooling and/or adequate hydration. * WHERE...Portions of Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands. * WHEN...Until 5 PM AST this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Recent observations indicate that the region is experiencing hot conditions, characterized by warmer-than-normal early-morning temperatures and rapidly rising afternoon highs. The leftover moisture from yesterday's tropical wave, along with these elevated temperatures, has led to the issuance of a Heat Advisory for coastal and urban areas.
