Relative humidity values will fall into the 25 to 30 percent range this afternoon, with winds increasing to 10 to 15 mph with some higher gusts. With low fuel moisture, the ongoing drought, and favorable meteorological conditions, fires will be able to catch and spread rapidly this afternoon. Refer to your local burn permitting authority regarding whether you may burn outdoors today.

HIGH FIRE DANGER CONDITIONS WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON INTO THE EVENING FOR PARTS OF NORTH AND CENTRAL GEORGIA DUE TO LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITIES... Relative Humidities of 30 percent or less can be expected for 4 or more hours Wednesday afternoon and evening.. Winds will be southwest at 5 to 10 MPH. With dry fuels, high fire danger conditions can be expected. Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities whether you may burn outdoors. If you do burn outside, use extreme caution.
