* WHAT...Bitterly cold wind chills 15 below to 20 below zero expected. * WHERE...Southern Erie and Wyoming counties and the western Southern Tier. * WHEN...From 4 PM Monday to 11 AM EST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Bitterly cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero will cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Such wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

Total snow accumulations between 5 and 8 inches. * WHERE...The mid-Hudson Valley, eastern Catskills, central and southern Taconics, and the Rensselaer Plateau in eastern New York, western Massachusetts, northwest Connecticut, and southern Vermont. * WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Monday. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be difficult to impossible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates up to 1 inch per hour are likely, mainly from 4PM to 12AM tonight. Increasing northwest winds gusting up to 20mph after Midnight tonight combined with chilly temperatures will result in wind chills or "feel-like temperatures" in the single digits with sub-zero readings for elevations 1000 feet and higher.

Plan on slippery road conditions. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Additional light snow will likely linger after Midnight in the immediate Capital District until the pre-dawn hours producing up to an additional inch of snow. Otherwise, northwest winds gusting up to 20mph after Midnight combined with chilly temperatures will result in wind chills or "feel-like temperatures" in the single digits.
